ALL HAIL THE YETI

"Within the Hollow Earth" (Minus Head; 2021)

Reviewed by Snidermann

When a band comes out of nowhere and kicks the shit out of you, it's like Christmas and Birthdays combined and, when that band has the best fucking name of all, you have the trifecta of a metal reviewers' wet dream.

That band is All Hail The Yeti (I mean, come on, you got to love that shit!) The name of the recording is "Within the Hollow Earth." When you start the recording, something important clicks and you know you are in the presence of something special. This band has been around for a while but damned if I have ever heard of them. Well, that shit is about to change and I mean big time. "Within the Hollow Earth" is brutal, fun, in-your-face and makes you want more of the musical punishment they're serving.

This music has a few different styles that are both appealing and hard to describe and that could be an issue here, because that is my fucking job, to describe this shit. Well, let me give it a try: Definitely hard rock/heavy metal, heavy chord music with a shitload of stoner-type fuzz, with some industrial mixed in just for flavor. Let me put that last sentence into some type of semblance, not only for you, but for my own piece of mind: I should have just said this shit kicks heavy music ass and I can't wait for another spin!

There are a few more recordings by this band that I can't wait to witness. All Hail The Yeti's "Within the Hollow Earth" gets a solid 3? guitarsaws.
