"Demo" (Self-produced)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

A cross between early Black Sabbath and Fu Manchu. I love stoner rock and The Awesome Machine play some of the best I've heard. Even though this demo was recorded on (in the band's words) "a very primitive studio," it rocks with the best of them. Each song features the trademark fuzzy guitars and ripping guitar riffs and the vocals and lyrics are strong and pure. These guys are good enough that someone should have signed them already.

THE AWESOME MACHINE: Christian Smedstrom, guitar; Anders Wenander, bass; Lasse Olausson, vocals; Tobbe Bovik, drums.
