BLACK COMEDY

"Synthesis" (Self-produced)

Reviewed by Snidermann

This six song release by Black Comedy - out of Oslo, Norway - is an aggressive, power-packed exercise in the art of extreme rock'n'roll. "Synthesis" has a keyboard background sound that flavors each tune nicely with a hard rock / space metal kind of sound.

This is one very talented band, with a fresh, off-centered approach to music which I really enjoyed. The strangeness and intense emotional presentation make Black Comedy a thoroughly satisfying musical experience. This band is hot and in my opinion has a great future in rock'n'roll. I bet these dudes just rip it out live and I, for one, will be looking for the chance to experience them.

Black Comedy: Burn M. Borg (what a cool name!) on keyboards; Christian Svendsen - drums; Markus Strand - guitar and vocals; Truls Haugen - bass and vocals; Jon E. Bergan - lead vocals.
