This Christian band enjoyed a nice Billboard Chart opening when this album was first released and, upon giving it a listen, it's obvious to see why - it's a slick, modern rock recording that delivers a hearty punch as well as its inherent message. (Although not every song tries to deliver that message; hence, the album doesn't try to force anything down your throat).

dc talk may not be heavy enough for some hard rock fans - the album sometimes sounds more like the Knack than Stryper - but the crunchy guitars are here, as well as the strong vocals and well-written rock songs.

Still, those fans who like their rock a little milder now and then should give dc talk a shot.
