"Diatribe" (Self-produced; 2003)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Diatribe is a metal quartet out of Australia and they rock with an intensity that is a breath of fresh air. This band has a mature quality that works on many different levels, including the high quality of musicianship, outstanding songwriting and an astounding overall coolness.

I hear a few distinct music styles here, ranging from the jarring vocals of Mushroomhead to the monster riffs of Sepultura. Diatribe is the real deal. Right here, right now, Diatribe is at the cutting edge of heavy metal music. What a pleasure is was to listen to such a talented, unique band right out of the blue!

Diatribe: Aaron Smith - drums; Jose Smith - vocals; Darryl Newsham - guitar; Chris Benyk - bass/vocals.
