DIPHTHERIA

"To Wait for Fire" (Pitch Black; 2008)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Diphtheria may not be a catchy name for a band, but this metal act is high quality from top to bottom. After several listens, I have failed so far to catch just the band is trying to say but I know I will after a few more enjoyable spins.

This band shreds. When I listen to "To Wait For Fire" I look for flames to come shooting out of my CD player. This CD is fast and furious.

Before I listened to "To Wait for Fire," I knew absolutely nothing about this band. Now that I've heard it, however, they will not fly under my radar again.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
