THE FANTASTIKOL HOLE

"The Mathmatikol Oil" (Basement Apes; 2006)

So the band is The Fantastikol Hole, the CD is titled "The Mathmatikol Oil" and, let me tell you, this is some weird shit.

This is hard and heavy music, yes, but mixed in with the music are ultra strange noises, fast tempos, techno sounds and mostly unintelligible words.

There are twenty-seven songs here, only one of which is over two minutes long (and that song is mostly dead air). I liked what I heard; it was like nothing I've ever heard before and, sometimes, that's just enough.

I may not have understood half of what I heard on "The Mathmatikol Oil," but, in this instance, I liked that.

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
