FLAGELLATION

"Incinerate Disintegrate" (Last Entertainment; 2007)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Technical, brutal, and evil all rolled into one? This Swedish metal troupe does it all, and quite well to boot, as "Incinerate Disintegrate" is an impressive offering that can be appreciated by fans of everyone from Dimmu Borgir and Emperor to Fear Factory and Nevermore.

Skillfully walking the line between mechanical and organic, tracks like "Threshold to Madness" flesh out edgy guitars and eerie melody lines while utilizing different styles of metal to hammer home the ominous feel.

Strap yourself in for a rollicking ride through metallic genres with this sextet guiding you along the way.
