Freax is about the most aptly named band I have ever heard. This new CD featuring Keith Caputo, the former lead vocalist of Life of Agony, features tight, bizarre lyrics and high-quality production that take it to a new level of musical mayhem.
Heavy music and strange, unidentifiable sounds erupt from this CD at a rate that is staggering. The lyrics make for dark and very twisted imagery. I loved it! I've listened to this CD a number of times already and I still haven't figured it out. I guess that's why I like it.
Freax is to Marilyn Manson in many ways, with unique rhythms and choruses, more than a dash of electronica and some other shit I just can't identify. I know this much: Freax is anything but mainstream rock'n'roll. For that matter, it's not mainstream anything. If you're looking for something different, it doesn't get much different than Freax.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
