FROM ZERO

"One Nation Under" (Arista; 2001)

Right from its opening moments, From Zero's "One Nation Under" assaults the senses. The music is raw and thunderous from start to finish. The sound of Godsmack sometimes comes to mind. Solid guitars, raging rhythms, driving hooks. However, the vocals here, while quite good when the band really rocks, get overly melodic when things slow down. That all-important rough edge just fades away.

Regardless, From Zero is one solid rock'n'roll band. I just wish they'd just kick ass a little more consistently.

From Zero are Jett - vocals; Joe (BOD) Pettinato - guitar; Rob Likey - bass; Pete Capizzi - guitar; Kid - drums.

From Zero also boasts a different twist at their website. Visit http://www.fromzero.com and check out their comic strip. It's a gas!!

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
