As I sat and listened to Given With Honor's "The New Beginning Is Gone" I could not believe the dichotomy of the CD. The music is top notch, full of smart and superb guitar and tight drum work that's as good as it gets.
On the other side, however, the vocals are beyond bad. They're a ineffective combination of growling and screaming and I could only understand about 5% of what was being sung ... correction, growled.
The music on "The New Beginning" is solid heavy rock, but the vocals are so overdone they bring down the whole project.
