HOOK ECHO

"Demo Sampler 2002" (Demo)

Reviewed by Snidermann

This five track demo shows a band with some promise. Hook Echo plays alternative metal that's not quite as hard as, say Drowning Pool, but has a little more edge than Creed.

The songs on this CD are all well-written and display the band's undeniable talent. However, at least on this demo, they don't show a lot of range, either. Three of the songs herein sound pretty much the same. Still, the presentation and music are excellent and I can only presume that - with a few more, considerably different, songs thrown in, Hook Echo could create a balanced album that would heat up radio and album sales.

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
