When you find good music right out of the blue, it is like Christmas morning when you were a kid. Ian Highhill's "Gallows" is a gem of a recording, full of thundering guitars and killer attitude that, in my opinion, kicks some serious ass.
Highill is a Finnish born metal dude that has been in the metal scene for the last forty years playing music just they way he wants. This recording is full of dark images, twisted lyrics, zombies and a few things I have yet to identify. All I know is this is going to be a lot of fun to figure this stuff out.
Check out http://www.ianhighill.com for more information on this extremely talented musician. Highhill's new recording, "A Hymn Among Gravestones" was just released at the time of this review and I can’t wait to check that one out also.
