JIMBO

"Where the Vultures Gather" (1103970 Records DK; 2019)

Reviewed by Snidermann

I prefer not to review EPs because I don't feel as though I'm seeing the big picture of a band. But Editor R. Scott Bolton sent this to me, and Jimbo cared enough to send it to him, so I might as well give them some ink.

The name of the band is Jimbo. If nothing else the band gets props for a great name. From the three tracks here, I really like the music. Heavy, guitar-chord-based rock with some really awesome songwriting added in.

But, see, that's it.  I just don't feel like three tracks tells me enough about Jimbo to give them a big thumbs up or a big thumbs down. So I'll settle some in the middle with two guitarsaws. That being said, I can't wait to hear more from Jimbo and, when I do, I might just bump up this review!
