THE MOB

"Back to Queens" (Weathermaker; 2012)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

After a lengthy hiatus, seminal NYHC group The Mob return with "Back to Queens," a 7" single featuring three new tunes.

This unit, who gave the likes of Corrosion of Conformity, Minor Threat, and Gang Green their NYC debuts, are an important piece of the punk hardcore history not only to The Big Apple but the global scene.

Their first recorded output in over 25 years sounds like they never went away, striking fast and loud with undeniable sing-along choruses and hard hitting rhythms from the glory days of CBGB's and Lower East Side squat shows (“Zoo Crew”).

If you like hardcore music, this is an essential purchase.
