PUTREFIED

"The Putrid Remains" (Sevared; 2003)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Putrefied play the kind of demonic death metal with the gurgling vocals, incessant double-kick drumming, and punishing bass and guitar work that makes little kids scared and God-fearing folk very afraid. On the quintet's eight-track massacre, which features some grotesque cover art, songs like "The Rotten Sound of Mutilation" and "Stench From the Crypt" will have you running for the hills in fear.

Putrefied, much like all of those sick-ass death metal bands whose emblem you couldn't make out with a hieroglyphics chart, are continuing to spread the decadent death metal to the hapless and hopeless.
