23 LINK CHAIN

"I'm All In" (Self-produced; 1999)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

23 Link Chain's "I'm All In" is raw, rough, sloppy hardcore/punk in the vein of Pro-Pain and our friends Shango. It's just as rough-edged as can be, fusing the hardcore, punk and metal genres with murky production that, while admittedly adding more of a street edge, gives the overall recording a sludgy feel that drags it all down a notch.

Still, overall, "I'm All In" is a fun recording, especially if you're into punk or hardcore. There's lots of screaming, yelling and controlled chaos here, not to mention a little rap thrown in for good measure.
