3rd Strike is obviously a band straight from the streets and they depict a dark and dangerous lifestyle with raging music and thoroughly thought-provoking lyrics.
3rd Strike deals with some very potent issues, including drugs, gangs, lost love and loneliness with a simple, yet powerful manner. Some bands fall into a trap of making music that deals with real live problems and so dark and depressing it can't really be enjoyed. However, 3rd Strike makes music that has a social conscience, but with a glimmer of hope.
Okay, sometimes the lyrics get a bit sappy, but the overall effect is worth every minute.
