"The Hard + The Heavy Volume One," a compilation on Redline Records (a division of Rhino Entertainment Company) is a showcase of the very best heavy metal artists around today. The impressive list of acts plays like a Who’s Who of metal music today. It is one of the best collections of metal music to come along since the soundtrack to last summer's mega movie “The Matrix.” I would be remiss if I did not mention all the acts on this two CD set, so here goes;

Kid Rock
Limp Bizit
Monster Magnet
Rob Zombie
Powerman 5000
Coal Chamber
Sevendust
Staind
Ministry
Slipknot
Fu Manchu
Static-X
Queens Of The Stone Age
Megadeth
P.O.D.
Orange 9MM
One Minute Silence
Videodrone
Fear Factory
Spineshank
Machine Head
Soulfly
Puya
Grip Inc.
Sepultura
Motorhead
Neurosis
Nothingface
Nevermore
Amorphis

This collection has it all. It's a great way to sample music by the above bands before you buy their full-length CD’s. Some of the bands I plan on paying more attention to after listening to this CD are P.O.D., Puya (Latin metal, of all things. Sounds great!) Slipknot, Static-X, and Spineshank

A great taste of the best heavy metal the industry has to offer today. I can’t wait for "Hard + Heavy Volume Two."
