ZOMBIFIED

"Outbreak" (GrindScene; 2010)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

Zombified's "Outbreak" is your typical, old school death metal album. It's got harsh, growling vocals, pulverizing double-bass drums; pile-driving guitars and jack-hammer rhythms.

It’s not bad if you’re a fan of this genre. But there’s nothing fresh or new or unique here. It’s just another death metal record. If you’re a fan you’ll love it; if not, it’s not going to win you over.

I assume all the lyrics are about zombies, thanks to the film bits included throughout but, you can’t understand the vocalist so who knows? Who really cares? As long as it kicks your ass, right?

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
