Poll Results as of December 1, 1999

See? We told you we'd update the Pitt poll more often. Here's it's been just over two months and the latest results are here on the web!

A couple of reminders:
1) We've stopped counting "No response" replies. Why? 'cause it's boring and, for the reasons of this poll, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

2) We don't count "fan club" votes. Sorry. How do we know we're getting "fan club" votes? When we get twenty e-mails a day all suggesting the same person play Dirk Pitt, we know something's afoot. Another clue is when someone suggests "Adrian Paul" for every role except Loren Smith and Admiral Sandecker - and then lists him as director as well.

BEST DIRECTOR FOR A DIRK PITT MOVIE
Steve Spielberg became the first person to receive one hundred votes in our little poll, staying firmly in first place as the director most readers would like to see direct a Dirk Pitt movie. James Cameron's work on "Titanic" and "True Lies" continues to make him a popular choice with 43 votes.
