WARRANT

Birch Hill Nite Club, Old Bridge, NJ; 04/21/00

It was back in 1989 when Warrant’s debut album, "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich," hit the charts and - even though their commercial success has declined - the "down boys" are still selling out clubs throughout the U.S. Warrant is currently touring the east coast with original members Jani Lane, Erik Turner, and Jerry Dixon with the addition of drummer Mike Fasano of Dad’s Porno Mag and temporary guitarist Kerri Kelly of Ratt/Dad’s Porno Mag.

Thanks to Concerts East and New Jersey’s WRAT Radio 95.9 FM, Warrant packed the Birch Hill Nite Club on Friday, April 21, 2000. Warrant hit the stage in a roaring blaze with the title track from their debut album and before the crowd knew what hit them, Warrant jumped into their hit single "Down Boys."

Warrant rocked hard although they seemed to lack the fire they once had with original members Joey Allen on guitar and Steven Sweet on drums. The band took the crowd through such classics as "Uncle Toms Cabin" and "Machine Gun," from the "Dog Eat Dog" album, to powerful versions of lesser known tracks like "A.Y.M." and "Indian Giver."

Vocalist Jani Lane took down the pace with an acoustic medley featuring smash hits "Heaven," "I Saw Red," and "Sad Theresa," then broke into a full band version of "Sometimes She Cries." Other highlights of the evening include the infectious groove of "Hole in My Wall" and - of course - the crowd pleasing "Cherry Pie."

After fifteen minutes of audience chants and applause, Warrant returned to the stage and delivered an encore of covers including an impressive and extended version of Black Sabbath’s "War Pigs."

This show proves there is still a demand for Warrant. They have more stage presence and a greater audience reception than most bands in the industry today.

Warrant will continue to tour through out the end of the summer and expect to release a new CD later this year.
