...The original line-up of TESLA will release their long-awaited new studio album 'Into the Now' on Sanctuary Records on March 9, 2004. Says vocalist Jeff Keith about the new CD, "To try to get away from a Tesla feel just wouldn't be natural, but we still tried new things. The songwriting process was exciting and rewarding but was, at times, very hard and aggravating. I was a little scared. 'Can I still write?' thoughts were poisoning my mind. But our songs have to have heart. We must believe in them and feel it. Producing the album largely by ourselves added an extra element of fun too." Adds bassist Brian Wheat, "The trick on the whole is to keep the Tesla style in place and yet still grow musically and satisfy yourself but not change so much that your fans are caught off guard. We wrote about 20 or 30 songs and these were the 12 best." For more information, check out http://www.teslatheband.com...

Says vocalist Stefan Petersson, "The lyrics combine the two distinct but relevant themes of these incredible novels. In doing so, the overall album paints a dark, surrealistic portrait of what the future would be like in a world where you can't trust anyone as even the thoughts in your head may be controlled. To us, it is a frightening reality that we are only seeing the beginning of with expanding surveillance and worldwide terror plots." For more information, check out http://www.morifade.com...

...ATTACKER's December 13th performance in Hoboken, NJ was a raging success, judging from the high level praise being heaped upon the band. A few examples:

Jack Frost of SEVEN WITCHES said: "Hi! This is Jack Frost I just want to say I attended the show, it was, for me, an amazing night. I always loved Bob's voice and the killer song writing. It took me back to when metal was king. When I first saw them back in the day I was just hoping to someday do what they where doing and now seeing them 15 years later, they haven't missed a beat. The only thing we missed was them. Thanks from the heart."

King Fowley of OCTOBER 31st and DECEASED raved "Attacker took the stage and ravaged it like a cheap whore in a back alley! They played a very, very inspired set of traditional 80s metal as we know they always have from day one! All 5 band members were in fine form and the new bassists fit in perfect! The new material is fantastic and a sincere throwback to the 80s metal trappings we all know and love! 'Sleepy Hollow' being the best new track for me! The crowd loved it all and we all had over 1 hour of mighty metal banging! My band, October 31, had a blast opening up the festivities and was treated just great by the band, club, and all those in attendance! All and all a great night for metal and an awesome memory for all time! Cheers!"

Steve Ratchen of VYNDYKATOR and ALCHEMY X said, "Attacker was quite good, in both their delivery and stage presence, though having shared the stage with them back in the 1980s, that hardly surprised me. On the same note, having played many venues with Bob in both Vyndykator and Alchemy X, the man is just the living embodiment of Dean Martin/Tom Jones transposed into a metal arena. And understand that I don't make that point lightly. It would be very easy for that kind of persona to slip into caricature, but he manages to not only pull it off, but excel at it. I've said this in interviews many times before, but he is by far the best frontman/singer/entertainer I've ever played with, and his approach is completely professional, whether we're playing in front of 10 people or 10,000. It's always interesting to watch him from the audience rather than the stage as I'm used to. All in all, the guys in Attacker put on an outstanding show and I look forward to playing with them at the Classic Metalfest in Chicago this summer".

Omid from Outlaw Recordings had this to say: "Omid here, from Outlaw Recordings well, I was there- and I guess if I had to sum it up I would say that Attacker is back, and all I can say is watch out Europe! These guys kicked it out, they were totally on! Of course Bob Mitchell had the Udo-ish screams down, plus all the stage moves that Tom Jones wishes he could have come up with! I mean that as a compliment! He is truly an entertainer, and Attacker is a truly a Heavy Metal band!"

Attacker's next CD, "Soul Taker" will be available worldwide in late January 2004...
